ms korch briefly went over the mod c marking criteria today and i was so shocked that every word there actually meant a ton
like "context" indicates if context is necessary, "form" means to be experimental (but not too experimental), "audience" means you're writing for english teachers (english nerds with history, drama backgrounds), and "engaging" means to put a bunch of high literature stuff in because english nerds like reading those pieces...
wow. but when you just read the sentences, it all feels like blabbering and speaking empty sentences that are jargon on the outside but hollow where the meaning's supposed to be
also for latin, today i understood what was meant by "clearly explained", it means to phrase your answer in a way so there's no ambiguity, like how i try to explain stuff to people, or like what I try to do with maths/physics sometimes... it's to state the thing concisely so someone whos mental processes differ and who has different interests will read the thing and know exactly what you're saying.
like. woah it's all in the marking criteria. those things actually mean stuff. they're like if the markers squished [10 pages of detailed explanations on how marking is done] into 3 sentences. which obviously would be incomprehensible.
