neu = weird version of 'neve'

future imperative; ends in o

  • eco
  • adito

similis - takes dative

etiam - also functions like 'yes'

"how" = "explain" = needs to supply evidence

outline 3 ways = doesn't need evidence. it's not an analyse level of thing. one and a half pages is too much
make sure your points are not that close

in latin, not punished for overdoing the question

2 marks -> 2 points to be safe

"state the form and usage of negare" = give grammar, e.g. "infinitive, indirect statement"

"Analyse how Virgil depicts Dido's feelings in these extracts", then notice how the 3 extracts are from the start (of what??), a bit after the start,

continuers: 3 hours
extension: 2 hours

analyse = how these extracts fit into the text (i think i wrote about this already)

juvenal is 3 times as long as horace but will get equal representation in the text; large swathes of junvenal will go unexamined

you can get 15/15 for writing just 3 (full) pages (1 booklet) for the extended response. in the same vein, you can get 12 for writing 6 whole pages (2 booklets). (or 0 for this one person that basically talked about roman history for 3 pages instead of answering the question)

REMEMBER THAT BOLD AND UNBOLDED MEAN DIFFERENT THINGS FOR LATIN AND LATIN EXTENSION

Yiming's strategy

  • in the reading time, do unseen
  • then do the unseen first
  • then do the other questions
  • and when you get to the unseen you will have a fresh perspective on it and maybe understand things like the gold/shoulders

Mr Brophy did his HSC question by question. so he doesn't think about questions in the background. I do that though, for every exam, so I can think about it in the background.
